Never order shoes online again

It was such a bad idea. But my wife insisted. When I go to buy shoes from the store, I try tens of shoes before I make up my mind. I have to make steps every time to make sure that the shoes are comfortable. Last night my shoes arrived and they were too big. Although I got the same size like always. I knew it was a bad idea. But it's not a complete loss. This online store my wife ordered from let's you pay for items you like only and when they arrive, and then you can ship back the other items you don't want. I believe that some things are not meant to be bought online. Do you buy your clothes online?

I buy shoes from Zalando, I do not pay shipping and I pay nothing to ship the shoes back if I do not like. I buy from them because they sell my size (35). Here in Switzerland the smaller is usually 37, far too big for me.

Zalando is where my wife made the purchase. I didn’t know you had it there too. We ship back for free too. Still it’s a lot of unnecessary work. It’s much easier to go the shop and buy shoes.

@Madshadi Zalando is present in most parts of the world. It is easier to go to the shop if you find your size, thing that for me is impossible, unless I cross the border and I go to Italy.

My daughter wanted combat boots and we couldn’t find any in the stores. The army navy store is to far. We ordered on HotTopic a pair she likes and they are being sent to the store so that won’t cost me shipping and handling to be mailed here. If they don’t fit we can return them at the store while we are there. Her feet are big and an in between size so I don’t think they are going to fit.

@Madshadi since it is free shipping we will just pick them up and try them on when we go there to get groceries. Otherwise it is an half and a half one way to an army Navy store.

I would still go to the store even if it is too far than purchase and return the wrong size over and over again

I've bought lots of clothes/shoes online and most of the time it's been ok but with shoes sizing does vary so it's best to go to a shop in the high street and try them on.

@Madshadi Yes I've been lucky. I buy a lot of shoes from a store we have in my home town and I buy from their online store too so I know which sizes to get. If it was Ebay or Amazon I wouldn't be so sure.

You can never be sure with the sizing. Unless you buy the same shoes.

I don't buy shoes online for that very reason, even though shipping and returns are free from my favorite store. I like to feel fabrics and try on clothes, so I rarely buy them online either. Once in awhile I do order online if I know the designer.

Even if its free I think it is still unnecessary waste of time if you are not sure about the size or the quality

yes I do. I have very small feet. I wear children size 3. Some of the stores don't have shoes that I like. So I order from Amazon. Some I have order were a little big, but I don't mind. I have ordered clothes from Amazon and other stores online. I haven't had a problem with clothes.

It's tough with shoes...you can't tell how comfortable they are through the screen so it's best to buy them in store in my opinion.

Yes I agree. Buying clothes online are a bit disappointing since you will never know whether it would really fit on your or not.

I have but not often. And I would NEVER buy shoes online. You really need to try them on and even then sometimes they don't stay comfortable. They seem fine in the shop but get them home and they start pinching and rubbing.
