He is still a puppy at 8 months old. I was told that he weighed in at 85 pounds 2 weeks ago ..... he is still growing and in 4 months he will be a year old.
I have a sneaking suspicion he will weigh well over 100 pounds by the time he is 2 years old.
Look how tall he is, see that red arrow in the photo? It's to show you where the top of the 4 foot fence is. He sure is a long dog too, maybe he has a little dachshund??

He looks like a pretty normal size German shepherd to me, I love those dogs. We had a shepherd coonhound mix who was a darling.

@rebelann Size! Leah ballooned up to 93 pounds after her knee surgeries. We've just started cutting her back to 3 cups of food a day instead of 4. She sure gobbles her dinner when she gets it! Got to get some weight off those new fangled knees.

I am surprised the ones in Europe are so big, the ones law enforcement likes to use here in the states are not quite as big as Junior but they are intelligent and from what I have read about them they get the best pups from breeders in Holland.

If breeders know what they are doing they look for signs that they might be aggressive, those they do not breed because they can be dangerous @LadyDuck also, it is best to wait for females to be over 1 year old before they are considered for breeding.

@rebelann I thought the best pups came from Germany. My uncle had one that was very big and intelligent. he pulled a chariot with the milk from the farm to his Parmesan cheese factory. A second he had, was smaller, but moody and very dangerous.

He reminds me of my cousin's dogs. She has two german shepherds. One in Zeus, and the others I think is Zora. They are both older puppies too.

Yeah, I know what you mean @snowy22315 I don't think I could handle such a big dog anymore but if there were a smaller GSD I'd be all for getting one .... oh well, I think I'll stick to mixes.

Yes, they do get big. I love GSDs they are so beautiful but most of the ones I knew like mom's were not quite as big as he is going to be. I love his mask, it's so original.
