Went to get a haircut... Played Warhammer instead

Today, I am hanging around the city while Mini is at his theatre group. I'd usually be teaching a home-schooler lesson, but, because it's a bit of a rush day for Mini, I'm doing the lesson tomorrow instead. Anyway, I decided I'd get a hair cut. I've been waiting for ages because I've had neither the time nor the money. Well, I knew it would be a long shot to get a walk-in on a Saturday but I popped into a hairdresser. As I expected, they couldn't fit me in this morning. Next door to the hairdresser is a Warhammer shop. Now, I've long been interested but never indulged. My legs, entirely of their own volition, of course, made me accidentally fall into this shop. I had a short demo game of Age of Sigmar, I painted a figure, and I spent what I would have used for my haircut on a starter pack, paints, and figures. I think that's a far better investment than a haircut. All I need now is someone to play with! Have you ever gone to do one thing and ended up doing something totally different? Did you regret it, was it the start of a new passion, did it make your day?

It happens all the time. I am my biggest distracter. I need a hair cut. I should probably get a little old lady cut, but no. . . I trimmed a couple of inches off two weeks ago and left it long. I just wear it in a braid or up.

I have recently been quite good at doing what I need to do without getting distracted. Today, I was out of routine so that's my excuse! :D

I'm sorry you couldn't get your hair cut, but happy you found something else you enjoy.
