What Is Popular Now That Annoys You?

My pet peeve is Facebook.
There are people from my past who completely dropped me like a bad habit after high school.
They got married. Was I ever invited?
They had kids. Was I ever told?
Now they want me to be their friend on Facebook, telling me all about their kids and married life. Where were they all those years? Are they having a good time rubbing it in my face that I am middle-aged and not married yet, poor with a freelancers income?
So, if you want to be a friend, be a real friend... not some fake on Facebook.

Facebook annoys me for this reason. All these fake friends from school can't even be bothered to pretend to care about what's going on in my life, so why did they add me on Facebook? Just to show off their own happiness and success? Or to snoop and pass judgement? It's pretty sad when people you only know online are better friends than the people who were actually your friends. My childhood best friend didn't even bother to tell me when she was pregnant, I learned on Facebook because her sister posted it. Some friend.

Yes, facebook 'friends' are not friends. They are people that we know or knew.

Yes that is absolutely right. I feel the same way too. I hate fake people.ni hate fake friends.
