Waking up in the middle of the night for a snack...

I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.
You'd think that after I pee I would go back to bed.
Nope.
What I do is go downstairs to the kitchen, without turning the lights on, and have a snack.
It can be milk and cookies.
Or milk, a baked treat and some cheese.
Sometimes it may be cereal.
And I do it pretty much in the dark.
I do turn the light on on the microwave so I can see a little but that is it.
After satisfying my cravings, I go back to bed.
Again I don't turn on the lights.
It's not the best idea to go up and down the stairs in the dark. One wrong move can be fatal.
I wonder... do I wake up in the middle of the night because I actually have to pee or because I crave for a snack?

There's no problem with snacking but you should turn on the lights to stay safe.

It's too bright with the light on. And I am not fully awake. So I keep them turned off.

aha, I am focusing on the lignt ,why don't you turn on the lignt?

It's too bright. And not being fully awake I prefer it to be dark. It's not safe walking in the dark though, especially down the stairs. And my stairs, there are openings between each step... One wrong move and... I can go tumbling down the stairs.
