We have gotten 6 calls from "Apple" about my iCloud having been compromised and that I needed to talk to a tech before using my "device." First, they will NEVER call you! You get a call from Apple its a scam. Second, if there is a problem, you will be contacted by email. We called Apple to double check and report this scam. They agreed that they would never contact anyone by phone. Do NOT fall for this scam! Please share this, this is legitimate.

I had a similar scam alert that hijacked my browser and warned me that my computer was in danger, not to close the window, not to turn it off, and to call an 800 number to talk to a Windows tech person. I knew it was a scam because it happened a couple of years ago and I researched it then. I shut the browser and didn't even reboot. Nothing happened.

my wife got a Trojan a while back and had to actually get her computer reset back to factory settings, at least she didn't lose anything on the server...

@ElicBxn I wish all these crooks would find honest work and leave us alone.

What I don't get is why the stupid machine is calling the same number 6 or 8 or 10 times! If we didn't fall for it the 1st time, why would we do it the 10th?

Thanks for the warning. I haven't had one of those calls but I used to get them about Windows... not that I had a Windows machine.

We have gotten those too. One time the wife strung the guy along for a half hour then asked if it worked with Linux.

Apple, Banks....the CRA....all these calls are scams. It's good to be alert.

Just want everyone here to be warned. I know most folks here are computer savvy enough not to fall for this kind of thing, but just to be sure.
