We have gotten 6 calls from "Apple" about my iCloud having been compromised and that I needed to talk to a tech before using my "device."
First, they will NEVER call you! You get a call from Apple its a scam.
Second, if there is a problem, you will be contacted by email.
We called Apple to double check and report this scam. They agreed that they would never contact anyone by phone.
Do NOT fall for this scam!
Please share this, this is legitimate.

I had a similar scam alert that hijacked my browser and warned me that my computer was in danger, not to close the window, not to turn it off, and to call an 800 number to talk to a Windows tech person. I knew it was a scam because it happened a couple of years ago and I researched it then. I shut the browser and didn't even reboot. Nothing happened.

Thanks for the warning. I haven't had one of those calls but I used to get them about Windows... not that I had a Windows machine.

Apple, Banks....the CRA....all these calls are scams. It's good to be alert.
