I know it's been about two months or so, since I've given you an update on Venom here at Mylot. Well, now I have some news for you. Last Thursday, I've finished my full Revise and Resubmit for Venom, which has taken me about seven months, when one of the agents had given it to me. I've reached this milestone. I've sent it over to one of my friends, who's also an editor, and look it over for free this week. I'm also waiting to hear from my beta reader on what she thinks on the final revised copy for it, too. Hopefully, I'll end it out to those agents later this week or after Easter next week. And then I'll wait to hear back from them, since they have a response time for full requests that's between 2-4 months (except one agent is six months for hers!) I'm hoping, since some of the agents said last year, that they would wait for my revisions to be done, that they would expedite the response time for me. As for the three editors from small publishing houses, they have a different response time and submission guidelines. They prefer the full manuscript to not be a multiple submission and read it themselves. So I'm going to email those three editors this week, and see if they want it sent to them at the same time as the agents or afterwards. On another note, way back in Venom's early days, I've pitched it to an online writers conference a few years ago. I never did manage to submit to them, since Venom wasn't ready then, and I had some life issues to deal with. Since I'm friends with the editor on Facebook and know her real well, I did message her earlier this month, since her publishing company is closed for submissions. She said to notify her when the revisions are done, and she would let me know where to send it. I'm waiting to hear from her as I speak. On a final note, two months ago, I've revamped my first chapter for Venom from my editor friend to make it much better. I'm hoping more agents who would request it, whether as a full or a partial request. I also have an author friend, who would gladly give me a referral to her agent as well. Lastly, a little over a month ago, I've received a 50-page partial request from another agent. I'm truly hoping I would land an agent by my 42nd birthday, 2 months from here, or by the 4th of July. Either way, it would be a real good reason to celebrate. So cross your fingers for me this spring and maybe his summer... for some real good news coming my way!

Good Luck, I still think you would have better luck on Amazon KDP then going through all that hoopla though. I wouldn't have the patience for it.

Thanks Snowy! I know. But I would only self-publish as a last resort or do small pubs if all else fails.
