Due to technology, our book is getting upgraded as well, before we only have paper books, but now we have the e-book or a tablet that has an application where you can read a book, Some of the school nowadays using this e-book and they excuse is, so that children will not bring heavy books which are the intention is actually nice but, do you think they'll learn than paper books?

If the pupils learn something or not has nothing to do with the kind of books they have.

@tech40 Exactly. Young people must want to read BOOKS no matter what they look like and are made of.

@MALUSE I agree every book is expensive and they should read it properly and learn something from it.

I always choose paper books. Regardless of what age I am in.

I prefer printed books. I like being able to hold the book in my hands. Plus I find that I can read longer on a printed page than on a screen.

Do they provide each student with a tablet to read that e-book? A child shouldn't have to spend money on a tablet or e-book reader just because the teacher decides to do away with physical textbooks... Nothing beats a paperback or hardcover book! And I think you retain information better with a book you hold in your hand that with a book that's on a gadget.

@tech40 I get that but do they provide the table to every student then? Parents should have to pay for that.

I think it is the same studying from a paper book or an e-book. And school bags can be heavy, so it is good for the children's back.

Each of them has pros and cons, lightweight which is book less is pretty awesome than a paper book, but I still miss the old days.

For me, printed books are still the best... almost all of the colleges and universities now are already using e-books, that is maybe to become updated with the trends and the technology but yeah, i still prefer printed books...
