I think my cat is jealous of my blanket.

My kitty normally sleeps on my bed with me at night. She has two spots at the foot of the bed that she curls up on day and night. My comforter is black and white. Last night I left my bedroom window opened because I like the fresh air when I sleep. I put my extra blanket over me because the air was a bit chilly. My blanket has polar bears on it and this was the first time I used it since I got my kitty. While I was trying to sleep she was clawing at the blanket as if trying to remove it! It covered part of her favorite spots and she refused to sleep on the bed until I removed it. She wasnt going to let me sleep unless I did. I closed the window and removed the extra blanket. She took her spot and went to sleep. :-D

Haha Maybe she wants to sleep in your bed and you sleep on the floor.

I thought of that. She has a habit of waking me up in the morning by standing on my shoulders and meowing in my ear. When I get up and make my bed, she takes her spot again and falls asleep! :-D

My cat used to come upstairs and lounge on the edge of my bed but since getting bit last year and him having a small seizure, he prefers the laundry room dryer where there are no bugs, no cold tile flooring and no one hogging his blankie, me !

Was it the bite that caused his seizure?

@Starmaiden I think so but it was due to high acidity in bugs generally that made him so skittish and then rolled over and whined and made a very high pitched sound as he slightly thrashed . . . He is 17 years old but as frisky as he was when he was little.

Or she just didn't want to compete with the polar bears

That's why she's jealous. She keeps my feet warm but the polar bears keep the rest of me warm. :-)
