Happy Easter, Passover and April Fools Day

Whatever religious or non-religious celebration you are having today, I wanted to wish everyone the best possible day. We have a very multi-cultural family. Most of us are Christian. However, my mother-in-law was a Unitarian-Universalist minister. I also have a Jewish son-in-law and one of my husband's cousins married a Saudi Arabian Muslim and she converted to the Muslim faith at the time of their marriage, nearly 50 years ago. They have raised three children, partly in the US and partly in Saudi Arabia. Our bikini wearing daughters spent many summers in Cape Cod, swimming with their modestly dressed Saudi cousins. All the branches of our family get along very well, with no rifts or feuds that I know about. I wish more people could enjoy people of multiple nationalities and religions and wish each other the best in life. So, whatever holiday or non-holiday your celebrate today, I wish you the best!

That's so nice that you all get along. Surely more of the world could live in peace if they really wanted to.

@JudyEv - I agree that more of the world could live in peace if they really wanted to. I think there are evil people who try to turn us against each other in order to get power for themselves. Most people are actually loving and caring, however, and want to do the right thing.

The family of my husband was not of my same religion. We never had problems due to this. They celebrated Passover, we celebrate Easter. We respected each other opinion. This is how the people over the world should do. Believe in what you want, respect the others, no need to argue.

@DeborahDiane I have seen many multi-religion families and there are almost never problems among the members of the family.

@LadyDuck - That is wonderful that there are other multi-religion families in which everyone gets along well.

@DeborahDiane Truth: I lean toward the rituals that occurred before Christianity. For me it is the New Year, the coming of hope and warmth.

@sallypup - I'm very comfortable with that. My mother-in-law, who was the Unitarian-Universalist minister, was also into nature and so-called pagan celebrations, as well as the religious teachings from all the major world religions. She was a bright, interesting woman who knew a lot about faith, religion and traditions. Happy Spring!

@wolfgirl569 - Happy Easter and April Fools to you, as well. We do have an open minded family. I believe many families are actually opened minded, but some people just try to turn people against each other.

Happy Easter to you too! I am an Orthodox Christian and I will celebrate my Easter on April 8th 2018. I also wish more people could enjoy people of multiple nationalities and religions and wish each other the best in life.

@WriterAl - Enjoy your Easter celebration on the 8th. I agree it would be nice if more people would enjoy our differences rather than be threatened by them!
