How many times do you change your toothbrush?

As the American Dental Association or ADA said that we should replace our toothbrush every 3 to 4 months while many dental professionals recommend it should be 3 months or sooner. I change my toothbrush every 2 months or 3 months depending on the bristles if it's frayed or not. Sometimes a month. Why? Because I have 3 spare toothbrushes and I like to use them all. Lol. 2 of them I got it from Marco Polo, my sister in the fraternity gave me and one from a Dentist friend.

I think I probably change mine more often than that as my granddaughter seems to fray her out after a month so I get us both a new one,

@JustBhem Yep I think she must chew it or brush too hard. She's 11.

I have a few toothbrushes as well and I pick one randomly, so it's hard to tell when to change. I've always heard every 2/3 months, I think they must be changed because some bacteria might be stuck there and increase in numbers, not just because the bristle turns ineffective.

I thought of the same thing too. That is why I have toothbrushes in case I want to change them right away.

I don't change mine as often as recommended but I do change it. Guess I should pay more attention and do it more often.

I use an electric toothbrush and replacing those brushes can be a bit expensive. I think I might have some spares around now though.

I change my toothbrush head usually every 2-3 months whenever it looks dull. I do use a manual toothbrush also and an electric. It varies.

@JustBhem Electric toothbrush is one you charge. Manual is one you brush with your hands manually.

I dont count the months, I just based it on appearance. I get rid of tooth brushes once they look over abused.

I go by what it says on the toothbrush if I can remember when I first started using it. My hubby, on the other hand, replaces his toothbrush at least once a month, maybe more. I don't know how he brushes his teeth but he uses it up too fast.

I change mine every 1-2 months! I usually buy them when the ones I like are on offer so there's always a couple of spares around.

I have many toothbrushes and we wash ours after a few uses and get out another one. I wash them in soap and water then dip them in peroxide. After that dries I rinse them in hot water and let them dry before using them again.

I change my toothbrush every 2 months or less. I have a bad habbit of biting it. It gets easily frayed and it hurts my gums.
