The unwelcome guest

He slithered in through the front door
All slimy, sleazy and somewhat sore
Spewing garbage, negativity and filth
Causing chaos, dispute, angst and rift
Please leave so I can enjoy my peace
Take with you your evil vibes and fleas
I was so sure I had seen the last of him
But surprise! he silently crawled back in
Leaving behind the aftermath of rage
Enough! it was time to end the charade
I no longer want to see your evil face
No more grief in my hallowed space
Have you ever had unwelcome guest and how did you deal with them?

I would label that unwelcome guest as Negativity, and I don't need him visiting my life now or anytime soon.

@moffittjc I know what you mean but thank goodness I recently escaped the confines of the office

Exactly. Negativity is a drain on the brain

No one needs that in their personal space.

cockroaches are unwanted guests, and mice are next.

I haven't seen a cockroach since I was a young girl but I remember the experiences with fear and loathing

@ridingbet Good way to exterminate them. I think I don't see them around because they don't do well in the cold.

Those are a delicacy for some people, but I am with you on that.

Hmmmm... do you mean people? Oh yes sure, when you least expect it. And it is kind of irritating.

People or other animals. Either way I agree it is irritating

@Freelanzer I may be more forgiving of animals but people can really be insensitive.

Our human guests are always welcome. (And also few and far between.) We have on occasion had a "guest" in the form of a Wolf Spider carrying all her young on her back. Rather unwanted that one was!

And pretty scary to look at I bet, but must have been quite a sight for sore eyes. babies and all

Insect spray may work on some creatures but others may need other methods
