Leaving no inheritance for ones kids

April 5, 2018 9:50am CST
Just read where a popular billion answered in an interview that he will be willing all his wealth to charity none for the children. i don't know but it doesn't sound right to me. What do you think?

It's not up to us to decide if him leaving his inheritance to a charity instead of his kids is a good or bad thing. that's a very personal choice. His kids might not deserve it.

I wouldn't do that. I want to leave a good asset for my children, my house.

There are many people who have done that and will be doing that! It is a clear cut message to the society that the kids of his and family members have mistreated him! So lesson from such incidences is that every one must take care of the parents irrespective of their monetary status! Thanks @augusta123!

@augusta123 , then may be the wife ot the person looking after the kids may be not taking care of him giving the message that she/he can live without his presence in their life! Thanks!

but in this case the children are still very tender and there's no way those little tots would have hurt him,he just want it that way.

I think it's very nice of him to leave some to charity but I also think he should leave some to his kids. Not so they're dependent on it but just to make sure his family is taken care of. His kids could fall on rough times or get sick and the money could help so I think I would prefer to split it among the kids and charity

Thank you, spilt it for your kids and charity

It sounds right to me. Don't you figure out what he says? If children develop the habit of dependency they cannot think of designing the future

@Berrygal This point is somewhat agreeable, but there must be a strong reason why the billionaire guy refuse to help the children.

@Berrygal yea charity starts from home

No most rich kids grow to be bigger than the parents financially, I know many like that. Fine teach them to be independent but don't deny them.their inheritance. Nobody is against charity but let it start at home.

Maybe that person has a reason. It really doesn't sound right, especially if those children are his or her own.

Maybe his kids have wronged him in some way. I am sure there is more to the story.

Great thing he has done. He has decided to give his wealth to the needy ones. I hope he remains true to his words while making will.

Buddy, don't you think he can Still include his kids in the sharing than outrightly denying them.

I don't know why some people think that way, so those he will be gifting can't also fend for themselves, best bet write a will or divide the assets when you are still alive for the kids and there will be no struggles when you are gone and give whatever percentage to charity ,charity begins at home. Those you want to gift to,give them the chance they will also struggle like the children.
