Got Kicked Out Again

What is wrong with Microsoft Outlook? I got kicked out every now and then when I was in the middle of writing or about to send away an email. I lost a business contract two weeks ago when that happened. Problem was, by the time I logged back in successfully (after 4 attempts), I didn't know that the email I subsequently sent had been chopped off, only the first half of a sentence remained. Never knew about the horrible death of that unsent email until I got a sarcastic reply from my potential business partner. Her exclamation mark puzzled me, and that prompted me to re-read the email I had sent her. (NB. I promptly apologized and re-send the paperwork she had asked for, but it was a no-go with the lady by then.Guess we were not destined to work with each other. I had asked her to use another more reliable email account but the lady ignored my request. She stuck to Microsoft Outlook like a bull went searching for a red cape!) A few hours ago, about to send away an email re: some proposals for a project happening this coming week, I got kicked out again. Microsoft Outlook made me re-logging in but rejecting my password. I had to go through the confirm IDs steps here & there in order to re-set a new password. (The people who wanted this project, alas, they seem to like Outlook.) --- Have you ever got trouble with Hotmail before? It had happened to me in the past and that was why I didn't use it for a long while until a year ago.

Thankfully I don't use it often. I have a hotmail address but use it as my backup email. I use gmail.

@sprite1950 Not surprising one bit. I was told that my email account was tried by some in India, some in Spain, etc

Some people seem to like Hotmail more. I don't understand it. I gave them both, and they prefer the Hotmail. To that woman who I had a fallout with over the Hotmail, I had replied to her later using the gmail, but she insisted the use of Hotmail. Right now, I am hoping that similar thing would happen to one of her important Hotmail emails, so that she could begin to understand my feeling. (God, I pray to you, Amen .)

This would be so annoying. You would be feeling the need to be forever checking what's been sent and what hasn't.

@YrNemo I can understand how upset you would have been.

I did today, and everything was fine. Losing that business deal made me a bit mad with Hotmail and with that woman for refuse to believe me that I was not a shoddy & unreliable case. It is nicer to reject people than to be rejected! It is worse when all the circumtancial evidences seemed to be against me .

I've been using hotmail for so many years now but I encountered no such problem. What could be wrong? Why do you get kicked out? I'm really puzzled coz that hasn't ever happened to me at all. They have updated their service. Does it matter what browser you use?

@YrNemo Could be. I have no idea as I'm using Mac and I use Safari and never have such a problem with my hotmail account.

Have not used Hotmail for a long time. Is it still existing? I have tried Outlook at work before and did not get that problem. Are you using Outlook Web application or the MS Outlook Software?

@YrNemo I am sorry, Darcy. I cannot see what she said that I am unable to make an appropriate reply. She might have blocked me whatsoever.

I have heard that Hotmail is notorious for throwing stuff into the junk file, including the stuff that you want. I use Thunderbird for my email program, but my email addresses (I have several) are all through my web sites.

I did notice plenty of my important emails got thrown into the junk folders. I often (daily) have to go there to rescue them.

@lynnief I often did that, but then some other new emails (from new people) would come.

@YrNemo I understand. It's the reason I refuse to use a spam filter. I prefer to filter my own mail rather than let a program do it for me.

Re: losing that business deal, I was a bit upset at first, then I thought, 'who knows, that woman might be a pain to deal with, guess this is God's way to remove me from danger !'

I remember now that I got so many troubles with that hotmail account in the past, that there were years when I didn't bother with it. (only logged in now and then to get rid of unread emails LOL.)

This happens on some Android devices like tablets using the Silk Browser. I use a Desktop PC and Seamonkey browser suite and the browser is good as I download my emails every 10 minutes from my ISP server. That way, if I delete the email from the server I have copies on my hard drive in html format that I can bring up one by one in my browser. My wife uses Microsoft's Outlook using an app on her system. When you opt to REMEMBER ME when it asks, that is, if it asks, then maybe you won't have to re-type your username or email address and password each time you log into your email account.

I'm not a big fan of Hotmail, but I've never had that problem. Sorry it cost you some business - but maybe it's for the best
