The foggy, foggy dew

It’s just gone 7am in Western Australia and it promises to be another warm and sunny day. I do like rubbing in the fact that we are having such pleasant weather although they are forecasting showers tomorrow. However it is foggy today. It’s the same ‘foggy’ as when this photo was taken a couple of years ago. Today we have to pack up all the lights from Vince’s portrait session, then take down the built-in wardrobes in our room ready for the new Ikea ones which arrive tomorrow. Also on the agenda is washing our big bus ready for its paint job which also happens tomorrow (unless it rains I guess) and putting another coat of varnish on the doors of the cupboard we’re making for the caravan. Well, better get to it. Have a great day/morning/evening/whatever.

A lot of your countryfolk seem a bit concerned that spring will miss them altogether.

Here in Maine it's been cold and not hot. It's been the winter that won't go away.

@JudyEv No, they are thousands of mile north of me. I am down south, we call this cold snap blackberry winter, seems to get cooler whn they are blooming.

We started off the day beautiful, sunny and warm, but then by mid-afternoon a cold front came through, bringing strong thunderstorms and high winds. It's been raining for the better part of the last 4 hours. But tonight it will cool down nicely and tomorrow promises to be sunny and cool, which will be perfect for the art show I plan to go to.

@JudyEv Yes, my general rule of thumb is that I will buy at least one item at every art show I attend, so that I can show my support for the arts and local artists.

Sunny and cool sounds good. You quite often buy an artwork don't you?

@moffittjc I think that is really wonderful to do that. Do you have room to hang them all? We have pictures sitting here and there but nowhere to put them up, especially with some of Vin's photos taking pride of place too.

That's right and I like autumn too. We've had some lovely days over the last week or two - warm without being stinking hot.

Our autumn weather is proving wonderful here too Judy. Not as great as what they're having for the Games on the Gold Coast though! They have been so lucky to be able to have everything outdoors.

@JudyEv our Kiwi one is Sophie Pascoe a para swimmer whose Dad ran over her leg on a motor lawn mower when she was two. Sophie was our flag bearer this year and is world record holder in so many para swimming events.

I love how the wonderful stories that come out of the Games. One of last night's was a girl who had a horrific bike crash while training for an ironman (woman?) event. Left paralysed just a year ago, she won bronze in the paralympic triathon. So many heart-warming stories.

@valmnz They have some wonderful stories don't they? I remember doing a series of them on Bubblews. One foster Mum, and I think she was on her own, had taken in two young lads with disabilities and one was in the swimming team. Then she took in conjoined Indian girls after they had been separated. Her story is equally remarkable and praiseworthy.

@JudyEv Yes, Ms. Judy, we're on vacation to visit our daughters. We've been here for over a month now but we'll be flying home this weekend. I'm sure it would be easy for you to come to New Zealand as it is only a few hours' flight from Australia.

@JudyEv They say that every year because winter wants to hold on a little longer. The spring sun is melting the snow, old man winter is still giving us, so it's not sticking around like it did in winter.
