So do I, it is better being overdressed. At first, I thought jeans would be ok but when I saw how other people were dressed I felt comfortable with myself.

What was the occasion for the firefighter's event? Was it an appreciation dinner? A fundraiser? An award ceremony? I hate dressing up, but I will always find out what kind of event I'm going to and what the expected dress code will be. It's no fun when you show up and find out you are the only one who didn't dress appropriately.

It was a fundraiser and it was the first I went to this, at first I was thinking on wearing jeans because I hate high heels and dress pants but then I decided to dress something else and I am happy I did.
