I have eaten coconut oil for some years and found many benefits.. One is that it seems to improve my memory.. It also seems to prevent Alzheimers disease and many other health problems
Eating coconut oil straight from the jar every day provides a long list of pretty impressive benefits that you probably never expected.

It's full of saturated fats. It is very well known that saturated fat in coconut, and palm oils ), do raise the bad cholesterol considerably.

@buenavida I am already 67, I am perfectly healthy, no high blood pressure, no cholesterol, I had not a cold or a flu in the past 45 years. I suppose that what I eat and drink are good enough for me, without following the modern trends.

There are so many good reasons to include coconut oil daily. Many don't seem to understand how this works as shown in some comments. We use this oil to make toothpaste and for skin care. No chemicals or additives-how nice is that!

I was using coconut oil for cooking and years ago news appeared that it was unhealthy. My father, a medical doctor and professor, always maintained it was not at all harmful to health. Now we use them as the negative publicity it got was due to some pushing their unhealthy products in its place - siva

I feed my dogs coconut oil. It's suppose to boost their immune system, make their coat shine, and as a prevention against dog fleas.
