Do you ever notice things you never noticed before?

So, today I was taking a walk something I have been doing almost every day since the weather has been a bit better..anyway, I always walk the same roads. The road is surrounded by woods on one side and tall grass on the other, with woods a bit further down. Anyway, today I noticed a charred tree trunk sitting right on the edge of the woods. I was wondering...has that been here the whole time? I never noticed it before. I walked over to it to see if evidence of a fire was anywhere else...but no..I guess the charred trunk must have been there before I just never noticed. Does that happen to you where you suddenly notice something you haven't seen before?

I find when we drive to our nearest town, which we do at least once a week, I always look at the same side of the road meaning I might look to the left where my friend keeps her horses then to the right where the apple trees are blooming, back to the left a bit further on, etc. Sometimes I deliberately try to do the opposite and it is surprising the stuff I see that I hadn't really noticed before.

That sometimes happens to me, sometimes you just get so involved in one thing you don't really take the time to look around. Its why I like to watch movies twice, I always see something the second time around that I didn't notice the first time.
