Itching in the eyes – does it leads to cry?

Dear Friends, I don’t know the scientific reason behind the itches of eye, whenever I feel itches in my eye, I will cry after some time. There may not be big deals or reasons for making me cry, but crying will definitely happen. At times, it may be on some past thoughts, which makes my eyes fills. In nutshell end result will be crying. What are your thoughts on the same? Is there any scientific reasons related with itches and cry? Have you ever cry just for nothing after getting itches in the eyes? Image from Google

@Sreekala @wongchoiyee @Icydoll @ivanituut I know the problem. I also have it occasionally. Eyes can become itchy when they're dry. Go to a pharmacy and buy drops which you can use whenever you get the itchy feeling. It's no serious problem at all. Anxiety or 'past thoughts' have *nothing* to do with it. I can't believe it!!

You misunderstood what I said there. I have not said itching related with 'past thoughts". I said, I may cry even on 'past thoughts' after getting the itches. There is no relation with both, simply a reason for crying.

I havent had this problem but I am seeing that maybe eye drops are the solution.

Tears are natural antiseptic secretion by the lacrimal glands which is helpful in flushing out any irritant we have in the eyes. The itching indicates that you have got some irritant in the eye and the lacrimal gland are ready to flush them and may be because of this you may feel like crying and search for a suitable cause so that your eyes will get flushed with the tears! I do not feel itching in eyes often to treat it as a problem like other mylotters mentioned here. However, I agree it may be the natural method of our system to clean out the eyes too. Thanks for your valuable input and that was my thoughts too.

Itching is due to dry eyes. I use refresh tears and all is well. I do not cry.

I have itchy dry eyes too. Mainly because of a computer strain. Eye drops helps make it better. I haven't cried from it though.

I agree, past thoughts makes us cry, but what I am trying to tell is, if I felt itches in my eye then, even a past thought is enough to make me cry.
