It was nice being able to go on that field trip with my eldest. Sure, it was a little stressful as I had to make sure that all kids were dropped off and I was at school by 8 o'clock, but I managed to get it done.
My eldest was happy to have me there. At one point, she turns to me and thanks me. And I asked her "for what?" And she says "for coming on the field trip with me." That definitely made me smile. I'm definitely glad I could make her happy. She wasn't too happy to go back to school though. She was back at school just before lunch, which meant I had to go, and she was sad about it.
It was fun though. It was interesting to see a local museum in our own town and learn about it's history, as it was a private home before being given to the town and becoming a museum.

Your daughter is such a sweet girl. Kids grow way too fast that they would not bother to spend time with their parents.

@dodo19 That is right, my friend. We wish we could make time stood still.

@mlgen1037 It would be nice if it could stand still sometimes, but sadly it can't.

Aw, you have a sweet girl there. And again, I'm glad you could go like you told her you would.

That was nice.
Was there a theme to the museum? A certain time period, or was it the home of some important person?

It is more of an art museum now. They will also hold activities for the kids too. I know they had a puppet show not too long ago that my two younger ones went to. I think the person who owned was somewhat important, but too sure. He was wealthy that's for sure.

Glad to hear you got some good times with your daughter. I think it is so important for children to bond with parents now and then.

You had something of a mother-daughter time and shared a learning experience.

There are so many interesting spots in this big town of ours. Glad you both enjoyed the trip and the time you spent together. Treasure them as they grow up so quickly.

There are definitely a lot of fun things to explore. I am definitely glad that we were able to go together. I am definitely realizing just how quickly they grow. It's hard to believe that my two girls will be in school in September. Kindergarten and grade one. My little guy is three, and I'm wondering how that happened.

@DianneN I probably will. My two girls will be in kindergarten and grade one next fall. So, I'll definitely try to go with them on at least one field trip each. Plus I know my little guy will have some field trips with his daycare, and I'll try to go with them on at least one as well.

Field trips are usually fun for all! The best one was when I was in 6th grade we went to the airport and one of classmates father;s had a plane. He took us all in small groups for a ride..that was cool!
