Nowadays you can see or get a different opportunity in different ways, If you have internet, you can work online, you can join to different sites, or you can build your own website or business online, If you don't want those type of business, you can rent a place on mall to sell something or, to be employed, and to work to someone else's business

If i have the ability and the financial capability then i would rather be self employed doing my own business.. You will be your own boss and you can have the chance to do your best to manage it.

@tech40 That is right, so before you do it, you can learn. There are seminars that can help us and guide us. But what is important you will be the one to handle whatever business you will have

Both have its advantages. I may prefer being self-employed, as I can make my own schedule. But being employed can be good as well. You can interact with others and don't have to worry about being the boss. It depends on what you prefer.

@tech40 Being self-employed can definitely be hard. Maybe you could be employed part-time, while working on your self-employment. Just a suggestion.

Yeah, you manage your own time. I prefer self employed, if I can earn a lot, but nowadays I can't find ways to earn more, than being employed

Yup, it's better, if we can earn good enough of money per month by being self-employed.

@Shavkat Wow, it's because of online earnings only? Or you have a business?

I have the best of both worlds. I work for an employer half a day a week, which gives me a little extra income to supplement my pension. Meanwhile, I am working to build up my publishing business which I hope will eventually be able to replace the pension and support me through my old age. Both have their advantages.

@lynnief Woow! It's so pretty cool that you love writing, and you even have a chance to join to competitions, being an author seems good too especially if you have tons of readers!

@tech40 I have self- published several of my own books, and I run regular writing competitions with the best entries published in anthologies (collections of stories.) This year I am hoping to publish my first stand-alone book for another author. The aim is to eventually build it into a full-scale publishing company.

For me, it is better to be self-employed. Your rules, your game. You can also manage your own time.
