I love re-arranging my rooms, don't ask me why but it makes me feel like I have moved into a new house and also gives me a chance to spring clean behind the stuff that rarely sees the light of day. Unfortunately I have a little blind dog who finds it quite annoying when she has just got used to the last arrangement and I change it round again but she's very adaptable and within 24 hours she knows where everything is again. Do you or your partner like changing the rooms round or do you prefer to keep it as it is. This is Maggie May just before I had her at the dog's home
Maggie May is a blind jack russell, who has come to us at rescue looking for a home because her owner is sadly too ill to continue to care for her. She lost ...

We recently downsized and moved into a tiny 2 bed terraced cottage. There aren't really any options for rearranging furniture. You're mean to your poor little dog

I know but she's amazingly resilient and after a few bumps she's fine again

@WorDazza She's a Jack Russell cross although I don't know what she's crossed with, She came from Bath Cats and Dogs Home. If you're in Manchester you might not know this area that well.

Poor little dog. Most of our furniture were built to fully cover a wall and I do not see how I could move them. My husband would kill me if I move a thing. He dislike changes a lot.

@LadyDuck Wow it's a good job you don't mind that as things get moved in my house all the time and he would be panicking all the time!

@sprite1950 This is true for the dogs, they rely more on their smell than the other senses. I am not a lot in moving furniture, so I adapted very well to my husband. I took photos of how the book are arranged before moving them to dust, I know he panics if he searches for a book and it's misplaced.

I too do like changing or rearranging the rooms as it gives a feeling of newness and a good positive change! I feel pity for your lovely companion who is visually impaired, but then dogs are very intelligent and can get adapted very soon! Thanks a lot dear @sprite1950 ! Have a great time!

@sprite1950 , yes, my dog was also almost blind at end stage of his life and he used to get adjusted by smelling the things! Thanks!

I know it sounds cruel but she's been blind most of her life and is used to a few bumps here and there.

I seldom rearrange our furniture but i would love to do too when i can. I am so happy that you have a heart for a dog. I know there are lots of dog lovers but taking care of a blind dog is certainly a bit different. God bless you.

Thank you. She is very lucky as lots of people love her and make a fuss of her. Her blindness doesn't seem to bother her at all. Yes rearrange your furniture, I find it makes me happy!

Shifting furniture is healthy. It breaks the monotony. I used to do it often when we were living in the city. But here there is little scope as when I designed this home I did it with a what goes where kind of concept. She is a beautiful dog. She looks healthy every other way.

@sprite1950 She must be a joy to be around, just like our Preiti.

@allknowing She is, always wagging her tail. She's been blind since the age of around 3. Her previous owner said she ate a slug contaminated with slug bait.

I'd quite like to change our rooms around occasionally but mostly it seems best the way it is. I feel a bit sorry for your little dog!

Honestly she's the happiest little soul and finds her away around with her nose. She's never had an injury since being with me.

@JudyEv Well a dog's primary sense is smell and I notice she relies on her hearing a lot so it isn't quite as life changing for her as it would be for you or me.

@sprite1950 I can imagine how your dog feels. It must be hard for her to feel her way around when it is changed but I also love the feeling of changing things around like ti is new again.

Yes and the place gets a good clean when I do it. It's surprising how much dust builds up in a short space of time.
