Except for swimming, I am really not into sports - and even with swimming, I do it only as an exercise that I enjoy, not really as a sport. I detest football and cricket, and never watch any form of sport on TV. All of which puts me totally out of sync with most of Australia, which is one of the most sports-mad countries in the world, and particularly my state, Victoria, which is arguably the most sports-mad state in Australia. Do you enjoy sports? Do you participate in a sport, or do you just like to watch? What sports do you like?

When I was in first year high school we were compelled to try a range of different sports. During hockey I managed to cop a hockey stick across the ear - probably one of the things that helped turn me permanently off sport, and particularly team sports.

I do like to watch American football, but only when my team is playing. I'm not really into sports. I do like to swim, and swim most mornings. Today will most likely be the only day this week I'm not at the pool, due to the huge blizzard we had the last three days. I also like to watch the Olympics. There are several sports I make it a point to watch with that.
