In my city, we do have a lot of pre-loved items. You can name all the stuff you need it. For some people, it so appealing to have all of them. They can choose whatever that suits their taste. Honestly, I can have all the pre-loved items except for clothes. I am not that delicate person. However, I am more on taking consideration the hygienic issue. For the reason that I am not sure if the pre-loved clothes' owners have body odor. I am afraid that I might be having it if wearing these pre-loved clothes. I have some friends who are fond buying fashionable clothes. They even claimed that they boiled the clothes to remove the unwanted things. Personally, I find it silly to do this.

@BelleStarr I do prefer to buy pre-loved items in a shop and not on the street. Some of the shops here are selling on the streets.

I like pre-loved items. As a matter of fact, I see them. Lately, it has become very difficult to sell used items. I noticed that it is a problem for many sellers. It may be due to Amazon Prime which delivers everything to a person in no time and they don't have to life a finger. Of course, the items are not cheap...but they do not have to drive to someone's house to pick something up. I have had items up for free and nobody wanted them. I buy used clothing when I can find something I really like. It is important to wash it before you were it.

@MsBooklover I think it is only in my country, my friend. The shops are installed in the local malls.

I like pre loved items, they price are very good. I used to buy second hand clothes and I had no problems with it. Nowadays the fast fashion stores has low prices, they are sometimes cheaper than a second-hand. But I haven't bought any second hand shoes, I have a concern about shoes.

@Shavkat It was similar here. There were many second hand shops with good quality and good prices. Now it is different here, too.

I stopped buying pre-loved clothes because I realized that they were damages, most especially if it is bought online. Even those ukay-ukay stores do not appeal to me because just like you, I consider the hygiene. I would rather have those pre-loved clothes donated instead of making money out of them. A lot of people buy things they do not need and then when they dont need it they will sell it without even thinking the repercussions. A lot of people do that, most especially online.

As you had mentioned, I would also prefer to donate some of our used clothes. I had seen that the prices are becoming higher than before, despite the conditions in my city. The silly thing, they have selected items as claimed. But still, they are pre-loved items.

@mlgen1037 For me, I don't want to spend money on selected items. I am just cheating myself. I rather buy goods at the local mall.

my pre-loved items come from my siblings and nieces. not washing clothes from ukay-ukay is foolish. instead of boiling, maybe just iron it.

@hereandthere I am sure she will not read this. Actually, I told her that she has body odor. As a friend, I need to say this since many classmates of our are complaining about it. These people are so afraid to call her attention to this embarrassing matter.

I never like to buy those items, unless that is extremely important for me and I am low on budget.

@Shavkat yes, that's why new products always cost higher than refurbished items. A person should always attempt to buy newer one.

I am not fond also of pre-loved clothes. There are a lot of pre-loved shops here, but I am not interested. I find it hard to look for clothes in pre-loved store. Though, when my officemate who is fond of buying pre-loved clothes, comes to the office with new clothes, I envy her when she said it's pre-loved.

I would never buy any of those pre-loved clothing they sell in the Philippines .. I saw them in the market over there .. and they smell .. Here in Australia , we have shops that sell pre-loved things and they are clean.. I obviously don't buy preloved clothes because I make my own.. but if I didn't, I wouldn't mind going into those shops and buy if I find something I like .. And plus in the opportunity shops here, there are also items that are brand new....

I have some clothes that were pre-owned. And some of my mother's clothes she can't wear anymore. I always wash stuff if I am getting away any clothes. I hope to sell some of my mother's clothes that we both can't wear.

I only buy them when they have obviously been cleaned. Recently I have found some wonderful designer shirts and ties at incredible bargain prices.
