Hello everyone.After hearing the sad story on Huey Lewis.
He had to cancel his tours as he lost most of his hearing to Meniere's disease
I feel for him as this is how I lost mine while in the Armed Forces.
@LoriAMoore also has it.for me my hearing was wiped out due to this disease.
Have just a bit of hearing in my left.With a hearing aid help some but not much.
This disease is awful. Vertigo .dizzy,vomit etc.
there is no cure for this.

I am not familiar who Huey Lewis is, and this is the first time I heard of Meniere's disease. I am sorry to know this but I am glad that I get to meet you and Lori. And I like your courage and resilience that in spite this disease, you move forward and enjoy life. Thank you.

I always liked Huey Lewis and was sorry to hear he had to cancel his concerts. I feel bad for you and everyone else who is dealing with Menieres disease.

@DianneN yes for me lost my hearing.The Right ear gone and the left very little.
I had this for quite awhile and very depressing.Did not want to talk or see anyone.Just in my little old world.
Then Mike snap me out of it.Not I can cope and to on living.But do miss my hearing.

It is very sad and unfortunate. I am terrified to lose my hearing. My mom is deaf in one ear, so she has a hard time hearing. It is scary.

@amadeo She had spinal meningitis when she was 2 and she had to relearn everything such as speaking and walking. and it fried the parts of the brain that control behavioral, learning, and it caused her to lose her hearing.

That's such a shame. I think he was going to play at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, and now there's just a "to be announced" spot where the show was listed before.

Sorry you and Lori are affected by this terrible disease I had no idea. I hope Huey Lewis is able to perform again some day.
