New News From My Neck of the Woods

So, I finally got my new dishwasher. Loaded it up last night and fired it up. I realized shortly after I started it up that we ran out of propane, so no hot water. Good news is that the machine does run. Doesn't clean well without hot water though. LOL. 
We are celebrating a 3rd birthday for Little Miss tomorrow. We are having her party at McDonald's. There will be mostly adults there. But, she will have a good time despite that fact.
The sun did come out today. It is not as warm as I would like it to be, but the sun is nice. I am heading out to do a little shopping. Have to wait for my husband to get back with a tank of propane so I can start the dishwasher. LOL.
We purchased 2 nice recliners to replace the old love seat recliner that we had. The cost was less than purchasing a new reclining love seat. And, because it is in Mossy Oak, my husband loves it.
Still working. Still enjoy it for the most part. Only 15 months til the day I have designated as the time I will retire.
Have the new muffler for my car. Now waiting for hubby to get ambitious and replace it. Mud season here and he doesn't want to get grubbed out.

Happy Birthday to Little Miss. I hope she has a wonderful time at McDonald's. Does it have a play park inside?
I'm glad you have a new dishwasher that works well. The propane will certainly help get the dishes clean. Good job getting two recliners. I can understand your husband not wanting to get all muddy putting the muffler on your car.
Things here - We're in the middle of a blizzard, so things from my point of view is wonderful. I'm working on my next books to publish, one in particular, but the others are also getting ready. So working on about six books. Three aren't finished yet. It's keeping me busy. Other than that, I go to the Y when the weather is good, won't be there before Tuesday as this storm lets up tomorrow. I've added the fitness center to my swimming. I'm down 32 pounds on my Whole30 diet. So things are going quite well here.

@just4him it is cold outside right now. If we don't get snow tonight it would truly surprise me. It did snow in the mountains.

Ut-oh! Well I'm glad it works! And hope Hubby hurries up so you can get that hot water going for the dishes.
Happy birthday, or early birthday, to Little Miss! Hope she has a good time tomorrow, regardless who's there! Which I'm sure she will, being that she's 3. 
We're only around 55 today, but the suns been out all day, and there's a good breeze coming in the house. 
Jealous of the recliners. We never got ours, because of the car engine light coming on in the beginning of march. 
But maybe next year

I found a good deal on Walmart.com. $555.12 for 2 oversized reclining chairs. Good deal.

@Courtlynn As long as my husband doesn't drop into the chair we should be okay. Seems pretty solid. But we shall see how they hold up.
I still favor my rocking chair. Had to add a pillow under the cushion though. Need to have more height to be able to get out of the dang thing. Arthritis is killing me and my ability to get up from low places.

@ElusiveButterfly That is a great deal! Though, I've heard bad things about walmarts furniture. So wouldn't buy from them. And would still have to wait til next year to get any, anyways.

Nice to be able to get new things and happy you have got them all now.
Things are okay here lots of noise from someone sawing away but apart from that nothing new.

@lovinangelsinstead21 we have never had a new dining set. Each set was well used. The last one cost little to nothing. It has served its purpose.

Things are going fine with me, EB. But if I didn't have a dishwasher, it would be irritating for me because then I'd have to wash the dishes by hand.

We still have quite a bit of mud in our driveway and the road into our park. But, that is due to the rain we had. My husband is looking into getting a load of crushed stone/gravel for the driveway. Hopefully it will help with the drainage problem.

@DianneN it should be fine once it is put in place. I have to mention maybe getting some coldpack to put down too. Not sure how much that will cost. We don't want to put a lot into this place considering we are hoping to move in a couple of years.

Don't dishwashers have a built-in heat element, for drying? Would that also heat the water? I don't have a dishwasher, so I really don't know.

I'm sure she will enjoy her party even with mostly adults, I know my son does. He is seven and still mostly has adults at his birthday parties. He likes the attention. I hope you enjoyed the sun. Hopefully, your husband doesn't take the length of time that my husband takes to do things. I'm sure you are looking forward to retirement.

We had snow on the mountains and I was glad it didn't fall in the valley. Feels like it could tonight though. Freezing right now.
