My maximum speed on the keyboard is 80 wpm with 90% accuracy and thought would be the maximum anyone can reach.
Just recently surfing the YouTube came across this super fingers who has a speed of 143 wpm minute with 96% accuracy.
Really amazed by the speed his fingers move on that keyboard, I have shared the link to the video you too would be amazed by watching it.

@kavinitu , Is it so? I have no idea about that! I was in need of a type writer as I used to submit articles for local news papers then and they wanted them to be nicely type written. That used to be too time consuming to go an institute and get the article typed there as my hand writing was really bad and the typist would hardly follow it! So had to purchase one which gave me a pretty good service! Thanks!

@AKRao24 Yeah that's true the typewriters would be in use no more from last year you can have a look at the link below. So you to publish articles for news papers earlier do you still have that typewriter with you or you sold it?
The roughly 3,500 institutes teaching the antiquated ways of the typewriter across Maharastra state will be phased out.

He types the way a person would speak, so fast!
My best was a slightly over 100, I don't recall how many errors I did, but accuracy should be over 90.
Of course, I wouldn't be able to keep that speed for long. My average would be 80/90.
It's useless when you have nothing to type though.

@kavinitu I've tested myself lately, and got slightly over 90.
It takes training/practice, but again, pretty pointless when you have nothing to type.

@sabtraversa Wow that is also good over 90 dear, a little practice and you will get into the same speed as earlier. But again that is also true why pointless if there is nothing to type

That is lightening fast I'll say.
The fastest that I've ever been timed at was 100 wpm with 100% accuracy.
That was during a job interview, so I probably had the capability of typing of doing better because I get pretty nervous during interviews.

@nanette64 That is also cool mine is 80 with almost 90% accuracy, if we practice daily we can achieve better speeds like this guy.

This would be unreal. I consider myself a fast typer, but have seen faster than me. My problem is accuracy.

I have trained in typewriter and passed exams of typing in higher level in English, Malayalam and Hindi. So the required speed at that time for passing exam was 80 words per minute. Now a days typewriting machine is not seen and typing in computer keyboard is more easy than the typewriting machine.
I have not checked the speed lately but I can type in good speed.

Wow you can type in multi-languages and that too you passed out with 80 wpm then without a doubt you must be having better speed. Government has discontinued with the typewriters
