My maximum speed on the keyboard is 80 wpm with 90% accuracy and thought would be the maximum anyone can reach. Just recently surfing the YouTube came across this super fingers who has a speed of 143 wpm minute with 96% accuracy. Really amazed by the speed his fingers move on that keyboard, I have shared the link to the video you too would be amazed by watching it. Image Credit:- Pixabay.

That is really amazing thing to watch! I never had any formal training in the typing though I owned a Remington Rand type-writer some three decades back! But I can mange to type fairly good even then dear @kavinitu !

@kavinitu , Is it so? I have no idea about that! I was in need of a type writer as I used to submit articles for local news papers then and they wanted them to be nicely type written. That used to be too time consuming to go an institute and get the article typed there as my hand writing was really bad and the typist would hardly follow it! So had to purchase one which gave me a pretty good service! Thanks!

@AKRao24 Yeah that's true the typewriters would be in use no more from last year you can have a look at the link below. So you to publish articles for news papers earlier do you still have that typewriter with you or you sold it?
The roughly 3,500 institutes teaching the antiquated ways of the typewriter across Maharastra state will be phased out.

Three decades back that's a long long time. That was the time of typewriters even I had my practice done on a typewriter, I think now government has discontinued with the typewriter tests now on.

He types the way a person would speak, so fast! My best was a slightly over 100, I don't recall how many errors I did, but accuracy should be over 90. Of course, I wouldn't be able to keep that speed for long. My average would be 80/90. It's useless when you have nothing to type though.

@kavinitu I've tested myself lately, and got slightly over 90. It takes training/practice, but again, pretty pointless when you have nothing to type.

Maybe if I had been trained as a secretary, I'd type a bit like this young man. Alas, I wasn't. I also type with ten fingers but slowly and make many typos.

You certainly would, because they need speeds like that in Secretarial Practice. You had any plans in your career of becoming Stenographer?

That is lightening fast I'll say. The fastest that I've ever been timed at was 100 wpm with 100% accuracy. That was during a job interview, so I probably had the capability of typing of doing better because I get pretty nervous during interviews.

That would also be a record of yours because 100 wpm with 100% accuracy is also tough to reach hats off to you too A little bit of practice and you could beat this guy

The world record is 150 words per minutes. If you type when someone dictate you type a lot faster than copying a text. I type about 85 wps at a 96% accuracy.

That's real and his accuracy is above 90% that is really hard to believe how someone can type that fast. He must have practiced and practiced hours and hours to achieve that. What's your best speed?

I have trained in typewriter and passed exams of typing in higher level in English, Malayalam and Hindi. So the required speed at that time for passing exam was 80 words per minute. Now a days typewriting machine is not seen and typing in computer keyboard is more easy than the typewriting machine. I have not checked the speed lately but I can type in good speed.
