Diary Friday 13th April 2018 Not a superstitious day for me but a busy one I had an unusual voluntary work assignment helping to assess medical students who have created poster presentations of their studies in complex medical subjects at the university. Subjects ranged from the study of genetics, why some Sexually transmitted diseases are now defying antiobiotics, and the use of parasitic worms to assist in dealing with gut infections. The students stood by each poster they had created to talk me and the other observers through their work, and much of their scientific jargon went over my head but their work was very impressive. As with the other observers, I was invited to vote for my favourite three posters. These votes will lead to a prize for the winners. I am not around to see the winning selection picked out though sadly. Diary Saturday 14th April 2018 A relaxed day spent entirely indoors, doing chores and catching up with my online writings. Diary Sunday 15th April 2018 Much as Saturday bar a shopping trip and in the evening a pub sign society granted me copyright permission to use several of their photos for my forthcoming book on pub histories. With my own images plus these from the society archives, I now only have as third of the image rights owners to track down. Yay! Arthur Chappell

I can imagine it is quite a task tracking down the owners of the photos.

@arthurchappell I should imagine it would be quite difficult to track down some of the photographers.

Oh that is fantastic they will let you use their pub signs Arthur for your book! Too bad you wont be around to see which med student won the prize. Nice to stay in too sometimes. I do that a lot. Your weekend must be coming to a close there now. Its still early afternoon here.

It's hard to vote for someone, you do not want to exclude others, I know.
