Acquiring skills or getting professional certifications

I'm about getting out of college and I'm a bit confuse on the next step before a job comes, which will be more beneficial to a fresh graduate. Getting a skill like designing etc or getting professional certifications? Which will you advised?

Join a temporary course like for 6 months or 1 year as per your preference of job sector. Get some additional knowledge and skill. Adding those things in resume works powerfully.
