Huh, I can't believe I walked right past that one...

My husband and I did a bit of grocery shopping this afternoon to get some ingredients for a new recipe I stumbled across and wanted to try out. After we got the groceries in the car, we decided to grab lunch from the Panda Express on the other side of the shopping center.
I was a bit distracted by a couple of hiring signs in other businesses' windows on the way over--I have an app called Job Spotter that pays users in Amazon gift cards for submitting photos of places that are now hiring--and the line in the title is what I said when I came across a penny I had walked right past on the way into the store.
Then I looked up a bit... and there were a lot more coins scattered at the base of the column we were near. I ended up picking up a total of $1.34 off the sidewalk there.
And I thought I was doing well by finding three pennies scattered around the grocery store the other night!

I haven't found any coins since pay phones started disappearing. I remember how my daughter always checked when we passed one. I think her birth mother had taught the kids to look for money.
