Do you really care about grammar?

Although I used to be a English teacher in my country and we focus on teaching grammar, personally speaking I guess grammar is used for learning a language, but we don't care about it when we communicate with others. As long as you can be understood, it's okay even if you made mistakes in grammar. Do you really care about grammar?

I agree, in teaching we should care, but in communication even if we made mistakes I guess it's not a big deal

I care about it only because English is my first language. It is okay if someone else makes a mistake especially if they are learning English.

Shouldn't we? I care about grammar especially when i'm communicating with children or teens because they are still learning.

Yes I care about grammar. now a days we have all access to learning. So if we are learning the universal language we might as well do our best.

No I don't care about it. I think that life is too short to be bored by such a thing, especially when I am not working.

I don't care too much about punctuation or grammar in my personal writings, but as a professional good grammar comes in handy for getting published.

I do. I hate mistakes. But sometimes the correct way sounds weird and the incorrect way sounds better.

It's like saying, "I'm a computer programmer, and I don't care about my codes." Seriously???

Wow, you call yourself an English teacher? But you don't care about grammar? Really funny..... If your student heard you say that. They will not respect you anymore as a teacher.
