DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DATING AND RELATIONSHIP

Many people thought they are in a relationship whereas, they are only dating. The two goes hand in hand but has a slight difference; dating involves hanging out, you can even go on a date with a friend while relationship deals with companionship. I think I have a typical example, dating is like having a play mate while relationship is like having a friend.
I need more suggestions, ideas....

From my understanding, if you are dating, you are in a relationship. Why would you date someone you are not in a relationship with?

@twieesmiley because I do not like to go on a date with someone who is not my boyfriend unless they family and close friends. I wouldnt waste my time on a person who isnt mine in the first place.

I agree, dating is temporary but true relationship goes a long way. Sometimes dating could have limited meaning but a close relationship is different. But some dating convert into concrete relationships as soon the people concerned develop understanding and liking for each other.
