Malays is the national language of Malaysia, thus I know how to read, speak and write in Malays. But, I found it is hard for me to understand what does an Indonesian speak even we both learn Malays. Their languages seems very naturally and hard to be understand even we are neighbouring countries. After all, I still have to communicate in English with the Indonesian. Haha! Anyone or any native Indonesian here that can understand Malaysia Malays and both?

By the DNA yes, don't be surprise as you are also related to the philipinos and native taiwanese. Some rumour that native japanese too but it is a little stretching it. Malaysian learn Malayu and Indonesian learn Bahasa and hence, the language is similar yet different.
