Feeling So Drab Today

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Looking outside you would think it was still winter even though the calendar says the middle of April. The skies are gray after yesterdays storms. Beside the outside weather being dull I'm wearing a drab sweater that I bought at the beginning of the winter. It's an olive green which is a color I never wear but it was on sale and it's so comfortable. They didn't have it in any other color so I bought this since it was such a good price. However, every time I wear it I feel drab. Usually I wear lighter colors (mostly blue) and I notice that when I put this sweater on I don't feel quite as perky and happy as I do when I wear brighter colors. If the weather wasn't so chilly and I didn't need to wear something comfy and warm I would change and put on something brighter. Honestly I think my drab sweater is making me feel duller than the gray skies outside today. Do you find that colors make you feel either drab or perky?

Yes, I have this striped shirt, its pretty but every time I wear it I feel weird, I am not nice either. So I put it in the donation bag.

I know how you feel. It seems like everyone that I talked to today is so tired of this winter weather lingering on. And so tired of wearing gloves and sweaters and how I'd love to put on a nice pair of sandals and be warm enough......

Bright sunshine definitely makes me feel brighter - unless its too hot. At one time I wore black most of the time.

I like black but not together all the time. I would think that wearing all black where you live would make you feel more hot

@Marilynda1225 That is the usual thinking, but my fabric of choice was light cotton - and the color made no difference for me really.

It's pretty drab here as well, and chilly for this time of year. Not sure I have too many drab garments to be honest.

Maybe you should give the sweater away if it makes you feel so drab. Not a good feeling.

Yes. brighter colors make me happier. Today we had a gray and dark day with sprinkles all day. Now at 7:30 PM the sun has come out. Hope you have a good rest of the day and fell better.

I am drawn to dark colors - well black anyway but I do add some colour with accessories. When summer comes there will be brighter colours.

I like black and have some black tops too but this green is a weird green so I guess this sweater will be going into the donation bag

I never thought about it, but probably because I don't buy colors that don't look good on me. I've never had an olive green anything in my wardrobe, so it just might do the same for me.

@Marilynda1225 I haven't seen many people able to wear it and look good on them. One reason I didn't want to go into the Army. I don't look good in that green either.

Murky, drab colours don't suit me either. Bright, clear colours always put more of a spring in my step.

No, colors don't determine anything for me. Though do like bright colors over none. Hope you have a good night.

Nasty weather does that to me more than what I wear. Two of my sisters have several outfits in that. Color and love them. You could always find a colorful scarf to brighten your sweater and the day up. Sound s comfy and warm to me. I was curious whether you got the same crazy weather we did. Guess I will have to keep looking.
