This story is kind of odd since do you know anybody who buys a lottery ticket in November 2017 but he found out that he won the grand prize after he scratched out his lottery ticket five months later? The man who won the Colorado Lottery grand prize of $1,966,761.00 dollars did not want to be identified since he fears that some of his relatives and friends will start to ask him to assist them since he is rich. The man did not want to scratch his lottery tickets since he likes to collect a handful of lottery tickets so he can scratch them at a later date to see if he collect a larger sum. When he found out that one of his lottery tickets showed him that he won the grand prize, the drawing took place on November 18, 2017. He admits he had a notion that some was going to win the grand prize in the Colorado Lottery but when he realized he was the winner of the grand prize, he decided to take the lump sum after taxes of $983,300 dollars. The lucky lottery winner said that he will use the winnings to pay his bills, save for retirement and "have a little fun." What is that old saying again "It is better to be lucky than good."

Well congrats to him!! =) Money in that sum could do a lot of good for others, that's what I would use it for-to be a blessing.

Lottery winners either have a wonderful life helping others or going broke by buying items they do not need.

Probably Denver since the article did not say where he lived for I guess for privacy reasons.

Wow! I would have called the accountant and tax attorney first. At least he will have an easier life.

That is what many lottery winners are told what to do by the millionaires.

Looks like Uncle Sam took about half in taxes. I'm glad for him.

That is true since how many of us win that type of money on one of those lottery tickets? Not many of us.

Wow. Five months later? Either way it obviously turned out to be worth the wait.
