Nashville 3 Colorado 2
Colorado Springs, Colorado
April 19, 2018 12:15am CST
As expected, the Nashville Predators, who had not scored a first period goal in the first three games of the series, came out electrified, applying intense pressure from the opening faceoff. It paid off, as Filip Forsberg scored late in the period, and the Preds survived a Colorado third period surge to defeat the Avalanche 3-2 and take a 3-1 lead in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. A hard hitting game looked to be all Nashville through the first two periods, but Colorado made it interesting by ratcheting up the pressure in the third. In the end, the Av's ran out of time and now face the daunting task of beating the Predators three games in a row if they are going to move on to the second round. Nashville goals scored by: Filip Forsberg (assists by Johansen, Ekholm,) Colton Sissons (Forsberg, Ekholm,) Craig Smith (Watson.) Colorado goals: Gabriel Landeskog (5 on 3) (Jost, Barrie,) Alexander Kerfoot (Nieto, Zadorov.) Game five is Friday night in Nashville.
Watch as Filip Forsberg scores another highlight reel goal against the Colorado Avalanche and the Nashville Predators take a 1-0 lead in Game 4. ------------...
