There's something about this track and video, don't ask me what it is... It's not something I'd have gravitated towards, but I find it growing on me - the hypnotic morphing used in the video, the deep bass-baritone voice, the tattoos... There's no accounting for taste, I s'pose.

Hmmmm, "Don't put your blame on me" what the heck does this guy mean by that I wonder. The video was interesting and I liked the tune but the lyrics are vague.

I used to love that song @pgntwo The singer has a good voice but the video puts a new spin on the old tune, much darker than I'd imagined it was in the first place. Now I'll remember the doomsday like value of this video if I hear that song again.

@rebelann I seem to be putting you out of sorts with my video clips, it seems. This might go some way towards making amends

Sometimes, just let the song wash over you, this is one of them. Take a listen of this, one from the USA, very expressive, but the video, whilst moody, means what in reference to the song?

There is something creepy in this video, something I do not like.

@pgntwo I was reading this post and my husband is listening to "The Sound of Silence" right now.

The background looks very like an old hospital somewhere - it has atmosphere in spades. This Band from USA adds depth to a classic, another track that I like:

He looks a bit like a Russian boyar in this video and the place looks sinister. The clip is well done but I dislike the atmosphere it releases.

Atmosphere, yes - that it has. It's... different. The singer is an Englishman too, I would not have guessed it from the soundtrack.

@pgntwo Can’t picture anybody shaking their stuff to that at the school disco ..... but you never know.

More of a dirge, you reckon? Could be. This one improves on the original, to my mind:

Though not an ardent music lover I enjoyed this though the lyrics are rather limited in their range - siva

It is a touch on the monotonous side, I guess.

I myself have recently found this song and singer. I love his voice. He is very good and there are a few other of his songs that I like. I had never heard of him before but I am glad that I have found him. I was actually surprised that he is British as I truly thought he was from the South here in the States. He has that blues sound to him. I hope he achieves the fame he deserves. Another favorite of mine: Really all that I have listened to have spoke to me. Die Easy, Bitter End, Lay My Body Down just to name a few more.

I've listened to that track a few times since you posted the link - yes, very expressive if short on lyrics at the end. Thank you, nice share

@pgntwo You're welcome. I am glad that you liked it. There is just something about this man's voice that if I heard someone else sing these songs, I probably wouldn't like them. I love finding new music to listen to.

@morgoodie Good fun, isn't it? And so easy to do with "random play" on many Web-based music and video sites.

I liked that one, like down to earth music and he is pretty soulful. To much fake crap out there and nice to see new music out there based on reality.
