Happy Saturday Everyone!
Our neighborhood is having a yard sale today and cars are coming and going like crazy. Guess some of my neighbors are doing well but I decided not to participate since the weather has been so uncooperative this month. Did I totally blame my lack of participation on the weather or am I still stuck in the winter funk of laziness and procrastination? Probably more the latter.
We do have sunshine today but it's still a bit chilly to be outside for a yard sale. I was quite surprised that they decided to have it in April rather than the usual June one.
Are you an avid yard sale person? does weather play a part on your decision to either have one or go to one?

We had one at my sister's place and enjoyed helping her and also selling some of our own clutter. I quite like them but I have gone completely off buying things I don't need so there doesn't seem much point in going to sales now.

I'm looking to get rid of stuff too and limit my buying. I have too much stuff even though I downsized a few years ago and got rid of tons of stuff then. Slowly "stuff" creeps back in

@Marilynda1225 It does doesn't it? It is bad news to have an empty shelf or drawer as it doesn't stay so for long.

It is too early in my opinion but it's what the community decided on. What can I say

I've never had a yard sale, they are not very usual over here. Instead we have carboot sales, where people load up their cars and take what they want to sell to a local field. I don't participate in them either, though occasiobnally I go to them to see if they have any garden-related stuff.

We have them here too so it's great for those who like to wander around and look for treasures

I like the idea of consignment . I don't know if I have anything worth selling at a consignment shop though

My neighbor and I had one every year, we did very well at them. Don't know where we always came up with so much stuff but there was always a yard full and pretty well gone by end of weekend. I think I am getting too old to have any more now, that is hard work for one of those.

They do take time and preparation. I can't do as much as I used to so when we do our yard sale I keep it small

@Marilynda1225 Yes I understand that, we probably won't have any more now that we have moved. Not unless my daughter in law has one and I put a few things in hers

We don't have yard sale here. I think it is good that neighbors can gather together because of it. Yeah me too. Weather can decide whether I will take part in the activity or not. I don't like being out in cold or bad weather.

Before I can clear out my house once it gets sold it would be good if I could sell some pieces but here in Latvia yard sales and even garage sales are not allowed which I think is just plain stupid.

Too bad you can't have them there. It's a good way to get rid of stuff and make some extra cash

We can't have yard sales here, and I don't go to any. Sorry it's too cold for you to enjoy in on the sales.

Its been years since I went to a yard sale, but I will have a yard sale. I did a neighborhood yard sale back in 2015, I think we all did good.

It's a big undertaking getting ready for a yard sale so I don't blame you at all. I like to be ready and plan in advance for an event like that. You will have another chance for sure.

I like yard sales. I could have gone today after the clean up but I didn't think of it.

No there isn't a lot of such yard sales around. Most of the time, when we knew it, it is over.

I am not a year sale lover but I do love a thrift shop, I don't like to haggle and that is part of yard sales and I like to shop without people watching me. lol
