Giraffe

I think my friends know I've kind of got this... thing... for giraffes. I have been giraffe crazy since before I could speak. In fact, ever since my father brought a giraffe home from Texas from his job interview. The job he got and brought us to Texas back in 1955. So, tonight the wife and I went to Target. We were looking for a couple of things. The latching trash can she's had for the last year broke about a week ago and we really needed a trash can in her room that could close and the one we found is one of those step on to open trash cans, that also latches shut. While we were looking for the trash cans, and the few other things we needed, I found this lovely giraffe. I'm still debating where to put it and if I want to paint it or leave it white. I think its a thing of beauty.

My animal obsession is the polar bear. I think they are very beautiful. I have a blanket with polar bears on it. They keep me warm at night. Giraffes are lovely too. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Its finished as it is, but where I hang it and if I paint it remain to be seen. Like I said, I've been into giraffes since forever. I know some people are into wolves or dolphins or bears or elephants, and I'm not the only person I've ever met that was into giraffes, but while she loved them, she had, at the time I met her, only been into them for about 10 years. I was already into my 40's by then.
