I enjoy eating outdoors whenever possible - it's nice to get that fresh air! But of course if I were in Europe, I would be happy to be there period and would eat anywhere there . I would think Europeans wouldn't even bother with our chocolates .

I don't think they buy American chocolates since European chocolate is far superior to what we manufacture here.

I agree that in Europe thy love to eat outdoors but it's getting really popular in the US and in Canada too. I love it but don't like the flies. However, we are pretty safe from flies in the early summer months. Then the bees come in August--lol!

Some europeans like to eat outdoors, I don't. In the winter is too cold and during summer is too hot.

That may be true for Portugal and southern Europe. In Central and Northern Europe it's not too hot in summer.

I know that outdoor cafes are very popular in many countries in Europe. There's a cute little pub here in our city that we love to eat at in the spring and autumn because its so nice to enjoy eating our meal outside, the summer is too hot. There are other spots that have patios, but that little pub is one of our favs.

Europe can get pretty darn cold in the winter, too. I enjoy eating outdoors when it's pleasant and warm, not too hot or too cold. Yes, American chocolates are a big hit in Europe. They seem to love Nestles, Mars, and Hershey a lot. European chocolate is delectable - at least some of it.

@Kandae11 yes we do it here but not as often as they do.

I’m guessing its because of the weather. Most European countries are are so cold during the winter seasons that it is almost impossible to stay outside for a long time. Not to mention the temperature of food is hard to maintain in such conditions. So when the Spring and Summer hit, the people prefer to take the sunshine. The pleasant atmosphere and the open air help uplift the mood and enjoy the natural beauty. (European countries are inherently beautiful if you haven’t noticed)
