Very sad story out of Toronto, Canada! Van rams into pedestrians killing 9 and injuring 16 with some in critical condition. It seems that the van was deliberately targeting pedestrians in the main street in Toronto. It was a beautiful weather day and many people were out enjoying the weather when a van driving very fast on a major city street started targeting pedestrians one after the other. At this point the motive for this attack is not known but the driver of the van was apprehended. My condolences go to all affected by this horrible event! *** April 24, 2018 The latest is that one more person has succumbed from their injuries bringing to 10 the number of people that have died.
Police in Toronto say they have arrested a male suspect after a white van mounted a curb in the city’s north end, killing nine people and injuring 16 others.

Very sad! It is very hard to understand why someone would go on a rampage and just kill innocent people and in such a violent way. Our thoughts and prayers go to all those affected by this sad event.

I have read the news, this already happened in Europe (Spain, London, Germany, France), it's sad to see that terrorism is spreading.

Very sad! It seems that this one was not an act of terrorism, but the acts of a frustrated man that wanted to get some revenge on women for his inability to connect with them. He may have gotten the idea from what some terrorists have done. No doubt, we will get a better understanding of the whys as more facts are gathered.

@1hopefulman I have noticed that now the authorities do not want to say that it is "terrorism", all the last attacks were "justified" behind "personal problems".

@OneOfMany It seems that he hated women and it was his way of dealing with his twisted feelings as most of the victims were women.

That's terrible!!! We need to encourage people to get mental health help when they r feeling out if control!!! The man is mad because he can't connect with women??! He should seek counseling and talk with other people with the same problem!!! They need more hotlines and groups for people at the end of their rope!!! Without it this is the outcome!

From the latest news, it seems that there was no connection with terrorism. Just a frustrated man that wanted to end his life by going on a revenge spree mostly against women for his inability to connect with women.

@velvet53 I seems that women weren't attracted to him and he started to hate women and this was his way of getting revenge by killing as many as he could as most of the victims were women.

Too bad he wasn't caught before he committed that awful crime, Imagine what kind of things he was dwelling on to be able to get into a van and just run over just one person? Most of us avoid even running over a squirrel.

The kinds of incidents are becoming far too frequent, and I am not sure how we stop any of them. All we can do is be ever more vigilant when we are out an about to ALL of the present dangers. Killers will use any tool to do their deed.

@Juliaacv Thanks! We can see how many people will be affected just by the loss of one person. So many will be hurting. Even if we don't know her, we cry.
One of the 10 people killed in Monday's van attack on a busy Toronto street has been identified as Anne Marie D'Amico, CBC News has learned.

Yes, we live in a sad world full of violence, much like Noah's day when God finally had enough and brought a flood to wipe out all evil ones.
