Going out to play

I am going out to the shed to play, or work, whichever you would want to call it. I have read some interesting stuff here, and I will be back. I am taking advantage of the fact hubby is bowling to go move some things around the way I want them. For instance, I have removed the chain saw from the living room and plan to take it to the shed. Seriously. He lived like a bachelor his first 52 years, and our twenty years together have not tamed him. I am surprised he has not brought an entire care inside.

And for how long have you allowed a chainsaw in your living room? . I would have sawed something off if it entered my living room.

I am not sure. He bought it, and had never used one, and was using it on that tree that broke. I am scared of the thing, but I could take the other saw to him if he is not careful. He is going to be in big trouble once the school year is out.

Chainsaw? That's interesting decor so long as it does not drip oil.

I actually put it into its case, which he had never put it in. It is now in the shed, where I had removed and reorganized some things.

@GardenGerty Sheds! My hubby has tossed so much out of ours in the past few weeks. We need to organize so much before we move in 4 years.

My husband was only 25 when we married, but he tends to make a mess in the house if I do not keep an eye on him.

@LadyDuck I will ask once, or maybe twice. Then I keep my mouth shut and put it where I think I want it.

@GardenGerty There are times I know he is busy and I close one eye, but time by time I ask to put things in their place.

Give it time, he'll try to bring it inside, maybe piece/part by part. It's hard for people to part with their bachelor/bachelorette ways.

You are probably right. That is why I so badly want to build him a garage.

We have a friend who brought his motor-bike into the lounge. It didn't stay there long though.

Bob's sister says he once brought a carburetor into her living room.

@JudyEv Nope. One sister says he is a slob. Another just says he is unbothered by clutter. The third just says nothing.

He has so much stuff just thrown in the shed that he cannot store things. Plus, for a while it had no lock. I finally got him to fix the shed so it would lock, so much valuable equipment is going back where it belongs.

@Courtlynn Well, it was not really understandable for me, as it took very little to make the shed lock.

I get those too. I am saving recycled containers and packing the nails and such up to store. It is just too easy to run buy more all the time.

Men just leave stuff all over the place. I am always picking up stuff and putting it back where it belongs.

It just never occurs to him that there are things you do not do. Even if it is one item at a time I am moving stuff out. We still need the wall taken out that is between the two living rooms from this being a duplex.

He did not have a lock on the shed. Now he has one, but he spends all of his time either running out on errands, watching sports, or reading a book.
