Will Artificial Intelligence Rule the World?

As in robots... "AI" is becoming more commonplace in the workplace as well as the home, from robots on an assembly line to robots that vacuum your floor to robots that fly over us in the sky. I believe that the idea of robots taking over the world started 'way back with Isaac Asimov in his signature book "I, Robot." It might have started earlier, but regardless, many of us have seen the age of robots come in with at least a few questions about the sensibility of it all. Have you ever wondered if we might be playing with fire, as it were, when we continue to refine robotics? What will be the end of it?
Robot Sophia Got Shut Down by her Creator Thank you for all your support in this channel. My channel is now demonetized by of course Youtube. I won't upload ...

They are programmed and so it depends on how the programmer uses them. I wouldn't mind a robot that cleans my house.

@andriaperry If the robot does all that then what will you do?

I believe like all human developments a.i. will find its spot in society as a tool like all previous inventions that were new society felt it was doomed.

I hope you're right, but even at that, there have been inventions that have made the world less secure and changed things for the worse.

I hope it will never be possible for artificial intelligence to run without humans. That could be disastrous.

It most definitely could be disastrous! For humans, anyway... maybe not so much for the robots.

I think back to Terminator way back in the 1980`s. Yes I think they will.

The thought is scary, but when you look at some of the humanoid types of robots they have now, it seems possible, doesn't it?

A kind of "Westworld" robot rebellion. It's all in the programming and human error I would imagine?

I would think so and that's the scary part. Humans are not perfect so we cannot ever create a perfect robot even if we think we can. What form the imperfection takes is the rogue element.

Robot takeovers make for great science fiction but in reality, nothing bad is going to happen. We will have more free time and the things the robots do will be done right. No human error.

In some cases, it's important to have robots, such as working in dangerous situations for people. Otherwise, for robots to take over our jobs would leave us all unemployed. Not a good option.

I agree. In the video, the robot got a little out of control. That's not good.

Yes I believe there are some of those too on social media..not kidding. AI is very present in our world now and I think most of us do not even know the real scope of it and how it is dictating.

I really have a fear that you are right. Not "fear" as in panicky, but a very unsettled feeling at times. I can't help but wonder. I was on Internet Relay Chat long before browsers took over real time chat and we were using "bots" to control channels way back then. They would "speak" and boot out people and so on. Just how far has that come, I wonder.
