It is 3:20 am and here I am I went to bed with my daughter at 10:30 pm to read her a story and to stay a little bit with her, I end up falling asleep. I woke up near 1:00 am and move to my bed, but since then I can't sleep my brain is thinking too much about this, about that and so on. Very rarely I have insomnia and I thank God that tomorrow is a holiday here and I don't need to wake up early. Do you use to have insomnia? I am going to try to sleep again, hope you all gave a good night sleep.

I do that sometimes. I drop off at 11 am and sleep for a couple of hours, then I have to lock up and by the time I have been to the bathroom etc. I am wide awake.

There are nights when I don't sleep well at all. I will fall asleep easily but there are times when I wake up and have a hard time falling back asleep. Sure, most nights I fall back asleep easily, but some nights, not so much.

@nela13 Maybe. It can be hard to know what our brains think.

I do not sleep very well from many months. I wake up around 2 in the morning and I am unable to go back to sleep. If only I could turn off my brain.

@nela13 The problem is that we cannot stop thinking.

@LadyDuck And when we stop thinking about one problem, another one comes to keep our brain working

I usually have insomnia every Sunday night. No matter what I do, I just can't fall asleep on Sunday nights. And then I am miserably tired on Mondays, which makes an already bad dad worse.

@nela13 I think it more has to do with the fact that over the weekend I completely disrupt my sleep pattern. Normally, during the week, I go to bed early in the evening since I have to wake up at 4:00 AM. But on weekends, I will stay up all night and sleep late on Saturday and Sunday. And then Sunday night, I try to get back to my normal sleep routine, but find that my sleep schedule is completely off balance.

@moffittjc yes, you change your sleeping routine so it is normal that you can't fall asleep on sundays.

If you only have insomnia on Sunday, probably it is anxiety because of the beginning of a new week.
