Makes me wanna 'storm the floor' when he continually asks Bridenstine, "Is climate-change primarily humans' fault? Do you know the scientific-consensus on how Global Warming is mostly humans' fault? etc." (Though I don't know if Shatz ever used the term "Global Warming.")
And Bridenstine gave the honest answer: "Carbon Dioxide is a greenhouse gas." Though humans do contribute heavily, they are not- (& have never been-) the only factor contributing to the carbon in the ozone-layer.
Reminds me of when I emailed Oklahoma's leading weatherman (who helped invent Doppler radar) Gary England about Global Warming, and he told me, "It's the Sun."
He said that yes, humans' activities (especially factories' & energy-companies' pollution) do amplify the Sun's heat; but (it was so long ago, I don't remember if 'he told me about this part' or 'I saw the rumor somewhere') there's 'Global Warming' going-on on planets where NO human life will ever exist!
What good does 'knowing the scientific-consensus' do (in management of NASA) anyway? Isn't NASA more about "being a beacon of the truth that 'scientific consensus' gathers-around?" sometimes breaking scientific consensus?

I know what you mean; but I disagree ... if we control our behavior (maybe 'go into cryo-freeze in The Matrix'
