Looking Forward To This Day

Happy Thursday Everyone! I'm always excited about Thursdays and get up with more pep in my step than the other days of the week. Thursday is the day that my oldest daughter, youngest daughter and I spend together and have lunch. It's been our tradition for the past 8 years or more and although it's nice when the grandchildren are around when it's only us "girls" we can have adult talk etc. I don't know what they'll want for lunch but I'm game for anything! What's going on in your little corner of the myLot world today?

I mad a trip into town this morning to try to change my health card and my drivers license, but I didn't have all the proper documents with me....so....that will happen another day (maybe tomorrow). The visit to the bank was a bit more successful...I now have a local bank account...then a couple of groceries to last me a few days. The rain means no walk at the moment, but I sorting, unpacking and putting away.

Is this it now and you're finally able to settle into the new place or do you have another trip back and forth?

Today, it's just me, myself, and I, getting together to do some book work. I'm hoping the collaboration will be successful. Have a great girls day.

Mystery shopping in another town. That is what I wanted to do on Mothers Day..it would be fun to just gather with my mom and sis for a change.

@Marilynda1225 Yeah, as long as I can get up there. Friend is not enthused about going at this point..I don't want to drive as I don't think my car will make it,,flying is expensive and so is bus believe or not, plus the journey takes all night. I think I will figure out something though, working on it.

My daughter (who's now 18) and I were just talking about something similar to this the other day. Ever since she was born, we've always gone to Disney World for Christmas and New Years. It's been our family tradition. She was telling me that she hopes we can continue going to Disney World long into the future even when she's at college or gets married or has a career. I told her that as long as her and her brother wanted to, we'll keep doing our Disney tradition. I'm secretly hoping we continue indefinitely, because someday I look forward to my grandkids going with us!

That sounds wonderful Jeff and I hope you can keep that tradition going as long as possible. Being able to include grandchildren in that tradition would be awesome

@Marilynda1225 I sure hope so! I look forward to our Disney Christmas vacation all year long! Even though we go to Disney about 7-8 times a year, nothing compares to our Christmas vacation!

It's so nice you still do this after all these years. It's so nice to stay close that way! I had my wisdom teeth out yesterday.
