Be quick or be dead.

Yes - in the days of the old west, one had to be quick in every way in order to survive. I was watching the 1987 western - "The Quick and The Dead" starring Sam Elliott, Kate Kapshaw and Tom Conti. At the end of it, I wished there was a follow up movie.
I would have loved to see how the Mckaskel family of three managed to survive in that log cabin in the wilderness. Did they get neighbors ? - good or bad?. It would be nice if the drifter who was their self appointed protector and helped them reach their destination - returned for a visit. Even nicer if he was accompanied by a wife of his own - he was very much smitten with Mrs McKaskel.
Is there any special movie that you would have liked to see a sequel or continuation of? What is your favorite kind of movie?

"Professor Henry Higgins: Damn, damn, damn, DAMN!
[astonished]
Professor Henry Higgins: I've grown accustomed to her face! She almost makes the day begin! I've grown accustomed to the tune that she whistles night and noon. Her smiles, her frowns, her ups, her downs, are second nature to me now, like breathing out and breathing in... I was serenely independent and content before we met! Surely I could always be that way again... And yet... I've grown accustomed to her looks, accustomed to her voice, accustomed... to her... face

yes you wonder why there is no follow up with some movies and ones that don't deserve just end up with some just as bad follow up as the first movie.

Speaking of Westerns, wish they would have not ended Deadwood so abruptly.

Sam Elliott is one of my favorites. He owns a ranch near here and is sometimes spotted when he is in town. There was a man named "Pink" Higgins in west Texas who hated cattle rustlers and was very quick with his rifle, maybe a distant relative.
I have always liked great westerns. The Lonesome Dove series is a favorite and I recommend it if you can find it.

I do not remember if I saw that or not. I thought that was Sam Elliot before I read it here. I like him and would like to see sequels to things that I would want to know what happened to people in the show or movie but unfortunately they do not have sequels.

I wish they'd keep going with the "Dune" mini-series. Sci-Fi Channel made it as far as "Children of Dune". But there's like... 40-something books I think....
Sam Elliot doesn't appear to age
