Now having a computer is really not a big deal, almost anyone can afford to buy one. But early in the 90s and early 2000 it was a very big thing not everyone could afford to buy one. I still remember the day when my first computer came home it was the most joys moment of my life. I never even had got the plastics of the keyboard for many days because I always wanted it to look brand new. Special Thanks to my Grandparents they helped me buy the computer. I still have beautiful images of my first computer still in memories. What about you, remember your first computer? Image Credit:- Pixabay

I have a nice desk-top. But I do not have a "laptop" or a smart hone. My dumb phone works just fine.

And how long would that have been, that you had your first computer?

You made me laugh with your "early 20s", because this means 1920 . We bought our first computer in 1979, it was expensive, an Apple II.

@TheHorse I think that young people imagine that the 20s are the years 2000, this is not correct the 20s were the "roaring twenties" the happy decade of great economic growth and prosperity. Very different from the 2000.

I used computers only for data analysis at that time. I pointed out the typo.

Thanks Anna, I thought mentioning 20s will be considered as 2000, but you are right it will be considered as 1920 instead of 2000 I just rectified my mistake. Wow you had your first computer in 1979, I wasn't even born at that time must be really costly as it was Apple made. I wonder how it looked in that age, do you still have it with you

So sweet doll, that moment is precious even though having computers is really common nowadays. But there were times when owning a computer was way to costly then it is now.

My first computer was given to me by an old job. It was just a tool. I used it to write short stories on it. Typo alerts!!! "90s and early 20s"; "joys moment of my life"; "of the keyboard." It appears I'm not the only one who needs a new keyboard! De-Oxit is no longer doing the job for me.

@kavinitu Nah, I'm not very sentimental about that particular job. It's long gone.

the very first computer that we have at home was the very heavy laptop that i and my brother bought from his friend. it was $500, and i and my brother divided the amount between us. the laptop because it was second hand, did not stay long due to frequent repairs. the hard drive was not even available here and the repairmen said they will order it in another city, which we declined.
