Do you still read newspapers?..

. Can you read me?.. I love this newspaper print material that's made for quilting so it's a little thicker..Not really suitable for dresses.. But I really love it so I decided to make me a dress as a birthday present for me .. It cost me $25 a meter.. I got 3 meters.. It is normally too much for me to spend that on materials, but I deserve it.. and plus I don't have to pay $250 for the labour charge.. I used to grab the morning paper and enjoyed reading while having my breakfast.. But I haven't done that for nearly ten years now with all the news and current events available online .. Do you still read newspapers?.. Bess .................................. Photo taken two years ago when I turned 60 .. I take photos of me to document my aging process .. ..

Don't read much newspapers these days as I can get the news on the internet before the paper comes out. The papers used to be so thick but now they have become so thin. It's a different world these days!

yes indeed.. the quality of newspapers these days is a put off.. the ink gets on to your fingers too.. that's one reason i'm put off reading newspapers..

@epiffanie You are right about the ink. I do feel it in my hands whenever I pick one up. I have to wash my hands right after handling a paper.

i buy newspapers only twice a week now, midweek and weekend. i usually read news online. i remember that newspaper dress. but now that you said it's for quilting, i'm now imagining it as something bigger, like bed cover, sofa cover or curtains. hahaha!

I can't really say that I read the newspaper much anymore. It's not something that I've done in a while.

Yes, my husband and I read newspapers. Did you wear this dress in public? If so, how did people react?

I stopped subscribing to newspapers a few years ago as they were not getting read due to lack of time. Yes, now we have other means to get up to date news. I don't even watch TV. I go to the library though and go through newspapers and magazines - siva
