Grand-dog sitting for five days

Eugene, Oregon
April 28, 2018 4:33pm CST
My daughter is off to San Francisco for a conference in her tech field, so she dropped off the now four pound Chihuahua to stay with us. I broke out the toys that I kept around after we lost Woof the Papillion, and she is enjoying playing with those. She is smarter than I ever thought she would be and quieter now that she is over two. It is fun to have her around again.

I would not want her in a kennel.

I've just had my goat fix and now you're having your dog fix. It's better (and cheaper) than actually owning one don't you think?

Enjoy the time you are spending with your grand-dog. Cute picture of her playing with the toys. Would you consider getting another dog?

We talk about it, but then you have to look for dog-friendly places to stay if you take a road trip and at our age, even an older dog might outlive us.

@JamesHxstatic Animals are very smart. You just have to see them do their thing. It looks like he sure is having fun with the toy in the picture. That is good that he matured.

oooh! there she is again! yes, i immediately noticed she is bigger now. i did read that chihuahuas need constant stimulation and have lots of energy. it's interesting that they go through the terrible twos also. how is your daughter's foot now?

That's the way to do it- a dog owner for awhile can be a real change of pace.
